InspectClanTerms of Use

These terms apply to the InspectClan apps and web console ("the service"). By creating an account or joining a company you agree to them. If you sign up for a company, you agree on its behalf and confirm you may do so.
The service
InspectClan helps fleets record daily vehicle inspections, defects and repair certifications. It is a record-keeping tool: your company stays responsible for inspecting and maintaining its vehicles, for the accuracy of what is recorded, and for meeting FMCSA and other legal requirements.
Accounts
- Keep your password private; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Your company's owner controls who joins, their roles and the company's data, and can remove members.
- One company per owner account, with a valid USDOT number. Don't create accounts to get extra free vehicles.
Plans and payment
The first 5 vehicles of a company are free. Further vehicles cost the price shown on the web console's Plan page (today $5 per vehicle per month or $50 per vehicle per year), billed in advance to the payment method your company adds on the web (online billing is opening soon — until then we invoice you directly). Plans renew automatically until cancelled; vehicles added mid-period are charged pro rata; removed vehicles stop billing at the end of the period. Fees are not refundable except where the law requires. We'll give at least 30 days' notice of a price change. The mobile apps don't sell anything.
Your data
Your company owns its records. You give us permission to store and process them only to run the service. Retention and deletion work as described in the Privacy Policy; download what you need to keep longer than 90 days.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no unlawful use, no uploading content you have no right to, no attempts to break in, overload or reverse-engineer it, and no false inspection records.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available but don't promise it will be uninterrupted. The apps keep inspections on the phone while offline and send them later. We may change or improve features; we'll tell you before removing anything you rely on.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the fees your company paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending
You can delete your account any time (Profile → Delete account): a driver's or fleet manager's account is deactivated at once and deleted 30 days later; an owner's is deleted at once and closes the company. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or don't pay, after notice where possible.
